Mayor Patrick Brown presents the TINFF 2023 Social Justice Champion Award 🏆 to AFPA

Aurora Films and Performing Arts

Sep 9, 2023

🏆 Aurora Films and Performing Arts is proud to announce that we have received the TINFF 2023 Social Justice Champion Award, presented by Mayor Patrick Brown of the City of Brampton.

This meaningful honor recognizes the film Silver Screen Dreams and the collective efforts of our team to bring communities together through storytelling. The award celebrates our commitment to promoting diversity, raising contemporary social issues, and advocating for justice through film and the performing arts.

We are deeply grateful to the Toronto International Nollywood Film Festival (TINFF) for this recognition and to Mayor Patrick Brown for presenting this award on behalf of the City of Brampton. It is a powerful affirmation that stories rooted in compassion, courage, and social awareness can inspire dialogue and create positive change.

This award belongs to every cast member, crew member, creative collaborator, and community partner who believes in the power of art to bridge differences and uplift voices. As we move forward, Aurora Films and Performing Arts remains dedicated to telling stories that matter—stories that connect, challenge, and bring light to the human experience.

Thank you for standing with us on this journey. Together, we continue to dream, create, and advocate for a more just and inclusive world. ✨
