Aurora Films and Performing Arts
Feb 8, 2026
As the Chinese New Year approached, Aurora Films and Performing Arts, a registered charitable organization in Canada, was invited to bring a special cultural performance to a senior care center in Toronto on February 8. Through music, dance, and instrumental performances, the artists joined residents and staff in celebrating the festive season together.
According to event coordinator Danya, many of the seniors in attendance had devoted their younger years to contributing to the development of Canada and are now receiving the care and appreciation of the community in return. Providing service and giving back to the community, she shared, is precisely the meaning behind New Century Films’ outreach and charitable work.
One of the most touching moments of the event was the wide age range of performers on stage. While some performers were just seven or eight years old, others were nearly eighty, leaving many audience members pleasantly surprised and deeply moved.
Among them was Rosa Jen, who participated in the Yangge dance, Mongolian dance, and handkerchief dance. Rosa shared that when she told one senior audience member she was 78 years old—older than some residents of the care center—the listener was astonished by her vitality and positive spirit. Upon learning that Rosa’s physical and mental well-being came from practicing Falun Gong and living by the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance, the senior expressed great interest in Falun Dafa.
This celebration was more than a festive performance—it was a meaningful exchange of gratitude, culture, and compassion across generations. New Century Films remains committed to serving the community through the arts, honoring those who came before us, and sharing values that uplift both body and spirit.
