Aurora Films and Performing Arts
Feb 7, 2026
On February 7, select actors from Aurora Films and Performing Arts visited the Ivan Franko Ukrainian Home in Toronto, presenting a joyful cultural performance for seniors and their families in celebration of the New Year.
Canada is a country rich in multiculturalism, and at this special moment, people of different ethnicities and cultural backgrounds came together without boundaries. Beautiful songs, graceful instrumental music, and flowing dance performances filled the space, immersing the audience in a festive and uplifting atmosphere. Smiles, applause, and shared laughter reflected the warmth and joy felt throughout the event.
During conversations with staff member Halyna, it was shared that many family members of the seniors were also present to enjoy the performances. She noted that everyone—including herself—truly loved the program.“Very good,” Halyna said. “This was a very unique New Year celebration. The music, the dancing, and the singing were all wonderful—especially the children’s dances. They were absolutely adorable.”
Following the performance, several audience members expressed their hope to see similar events again in the future. Some even asked whether New Century Films might return with a performance during the Mid-Autumn Festival, reflecting the strong impression the program left on the community.
More than a cultural performance, this event was a meaningful exchange of warmth, art, and human connection. New Century Films remains committed to building bridges through the arts and bringing moments of joy, hope, and shared celebration to diverse communities.
